Summer CAP (College Achievement Program) is a four-week program for students who require significant developmental coursework in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The program will serve as a bridge between high school and the freshmen year of college.
The Center is responsible for the administration of the College Achievement Program (CAP) which assists first year students in developing English and mathematics skills to a level appropriate for functioning in the college environment. Students accepted to ENC under the provisions of the CAP are tested for levels of proficiency in English and mathematics, and then placed in appropriate classes in their first year to develop these skills. Students in the CAP will be enrolled in the First Year Seminar course and based on placement testing will take one or more of the following courses:
